Naturally, I'd like very much to talk about this. But it's a long history, and I'll have to come back to it when I have more time, and when I feel like opening up more.

But what I will do for the time being is occasionally add songs (via direct youtube links) that remind me of my experiences with others. I'll do it in chronoligical order - starting with my first kiddie crush on a neighbor girl. LOL. Then it will go on from there up to the present. It will take some time as I'll do it gradually, not all at once.
These songs / music / movie scenes represent aspects of different past relationships, different types of chemistry and connections along the way, and hints of how things started then wound up sometimes.

"Puppy Love": Donny Osmmond. This one is the kid crush on the neighbor girl. LOL! http://youtu.be/ZT3-k8UrPQo

"Music of the Night": Michael Crawford (From "The Phantom of the Opera" Musical. This song was not out at the time yet. This particular experience was later in my life after the first (above). And this was also not really a romantic experience. It was basically a physical experience as a result of strong persuasion. Neither the experience nor the person was spectacular by any means. But it was a definite eye-opener to new things. http://youtu.be/F-GXo10hfKI

"All I Ask Of You": ("The Phantom of the Opera"): https://youtu.be/Zy1lWiHHHFY

"All I Ask Of You: Reprise": https://youtu.be/cstkOZXuVuo

"My Kind Of Lover": Billy Squier. This experience was with another person in my later teen / early adult years, and involved someone over 4 years older than me, but I didn't care! This was definite physical relationship, but had romance to it as well this time. http://youtu.be/0GbIpsy6kzA

"You're The One That I Want": "Grease": Olivia-Newton John & John Travolta: https://youtu.be/itRFjzQICJU

"Bed of Roses": Bon Jovi. This song reminded m of someone I had to unfortunately move away from - location-wise. http://youtu.be/mMXHK4hOdMo

"Time Stood Still": Madonna. This reminds me of someone I was very unfair to and turned away during a bitter and untrusting phase I was going through at the time. I felt badly about it and regretted it later. http://youtu.be/3KcBNYD97b8

"Harry In Winter": Patrick Doyle: "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" Soundtrack: https://youtu.be/TEAHx6-KTgI

"Across The Stars": John Williams: "Star Wars: Episode II: Attack Of The Clones" Soundtrack: https://youtu.be/G6FnQMEbx_E

"Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein'" Soundtrack: Patrick Doyle: "The Wedding Night": https://youtu.be/HaxoTmGkWJc

"Making Love Out of Nothing At All": Air Supply. Fast forwarding in time a bit. One of those great people / relationships you come across by accident when you aren't looking or expecting it. http://youtu.be/qEd6QUbK2Mw

"Annie's Song": John Denver. Skipping far ahead to a much more recent time. https://youtu.be/RNOTF-znQyw

"My Heart Will Go On": Celine Dion: From the movie, "Titanic". I played this while making out in the car for hours. Several years later, it still proved to have very prophetic as though about all those years across the country, we found out we still feel this way about each other when meeting again: https://youtu.be/DNyKDI9pn0Q

Jumping ahead a bit:

True Story: My Most Romantic Moment Ever (Some may disagree depending on who they are, and no offense at all intended to any of my exes...had a lot of good times with them, too, of course). I'm not talking about "Best Person"...I'm just talking here about the one most romantic MOMENT I've had. I still treasure other romantic moments with others in the past, too. I've given countless roses and other flowers, cards, and gifts, done lots of hand kissing, door opening, chair moving, set up candle lit dinners and other surprises, done a lot of spooning and cuddling with lots of affection, had many intense days and nights, and I've meant it all every single time with every single person. But in my own opinion, this is what I think was my top moment so far period. Just popped back into my memory again for some reason:

I was about to move to California in a couple of months after spending a year back in Chicago during my father's recovery from a stroke. Previously I had been in Las Vegas running my own stage theater company, also producing / directing and performing in my weekly comedy SNL-like radio show, was enjoying success with a free lance art business, and running successful social / support groups, and running charity public events. I gave it up to stand up for my sister's wedding and stay with my father throughout his recovery until he was in safe territory again. Prior to Vegas, I tried out Phoenix, Arizona for a few months. (It was a bit too slow for me at the time. I needed bigger, busier cities). Prior to that, I had joined the Army to challenge myself during a bout of boredom in life. I did really well and got 4 awards during training. But back to the time before moving to LA...

I worked hard at 3 jobs in my father's town to make enough to move out to LA. Then I narrowed it down to just one full time restaurant manager job. During the rare times I had free time, I was very bored in that neighborhood. I started meeting people just to cure that boredom, but I was NOT looking in any sort of romantic way. Meeting someone I may wind up with feelings for was the LAST thing on my mind, since I knew I was moving soon, and was very excited and focused on preparing everything for the trip and settling here. But then it happened. I hung out with a new person who I couldn't help but fall for despite myself, and BIG time. It was the same in return. We couldn't help ourselves, it seemed. One night after dinner and a movie we went for a walk late at night through a nearby forest preserve. We stopped under a cobblestone bridge over a little creek. After a quiet moment or two, something very unusual came over me. I got so caught up with this person, I got an incredible urge to slow dance. Don't know why. So, I did. I initiated and lead this slow dance to no music in this forest preserve under a cobblestone bridge over a creek. It was very hypnotic for me. Like I was under some of kind of spell that kept moving me. Though it had started out as a sort of a slow waltz, we eventually wound up dancing cheek to cheek. That seemed to blow both of us away and I was mesmerized like I never had been before. We wound up on a picnic table further down later on, and made love for hours there, which I had also instigated. And again finished the night making out in the car for a couple MORE hours before finally saying "Good night". I had never felt so invigorated and enamored. I had never done that with anyone before, and I still haven't since.

We continued to see each other and have more intense encounters along the way. I was very tempted to put my move to CA on hold to see how this relationship could fit in. But my date was concerned I might feel held back from my dreams and goals later in life and become resentful as time went by. So, both excited about the move and heartbroken at the same time, I did continue with my original plans and moved here to CA. We do still stay in touch and both still wonder what it would have been like if I stayed out there or if I was joined out here. Both of us have wondered at times if we had said, "Goodbye" to the person we were meant to be with, as we've admitted to each other. And times when I've visited Illinois we've seen and spent time together again, we always find that the chemistry, connection, comfort level, and "fireworks" are still as strong as ever, and, again, can't see to help ourselves...even into the present and despite the fact that we had both been with other people since then. But the problem is that we both have our own well-established businesses in our respective areas across the country from each other. And occasional relationships with others get in the way sometimes, too. Anyway...that particular date in the forest preserve that night was I'd say the most romantic moment in my life so far.
