On This Page, I Will Share Various, Miscellaneous funny memmories Of Mine From Various Times In My Life As I Rememer Them.

You Will Find Many Such Memories Throughout "My Memoirs" Pages As They Happened In Their Prospective, Chronological Time Frames, But Those Not There, You Will Find Here On This Special, Appropriate Page. Again, I Will Arrange Them In Chronological Order.

High School:

I went to and from school with my friends - both from the dorm and friends that lived nearby the dorm. We took the train from the Loyola Campus area to the heart of downtown Chicago - down the street from the famous Hancock building. My friends and I often rode between the train cars (of course, no one is supposed to do this, but it was MUCH too fun and exciting NOT to - ESPECIALLY around elevated track curves and also below ground inside the tunnels!! One morning, we could not ride between the cars because a group (yes, an actual GROUP had managed to fit themselves in the cramped space - which could only usually comfortably fit TWO) of studious-looking Chinese guys all wearing glasses had beaten us to it. However, they provided us with free entertainment anyway. It was obvious this was their first time riding between the cars because they were freaking out about everything along the way. They also seemed to realize that maybe it WASN'T wise to have ALL of them out there at the sametime. (MY friends and I took turns if there was more than two of us traveling together.) They were hysterically panicking and chattering to each other in Chinese when the train turned sharp curves high above the streets as the the physics of the turns squashed them together. We were laughing our asses off and one of my fellow dorm guys - a skinny black guy named Tyrone - shouted out to everyone in our car, "Anyone want Chinese pancakes with glasses?!" That comment drove us even further into our laughing fits!

HIGH SCHOOL:

My best and perhaps closest friend in school, Rich, and I were on our way home from school on the train. The entire train was PACKED to the gills. After standing for a good few stops, we noticed there was one entire seat (it sat two) open and available. We looked around at everyone wondering why no one was sitting there as crowded as the car was. We then looked at each other knowing we both thinking that maybe noone noticed that seat wasempty, and made our way to it. We sat down and everyone was suddenly looking at us like we were fro outer space. We igbored it and began talking about our day at school and other stuff for about four or five stops. I suddenly caught a whiff of something very foul-smelling. I turned to Rich and mentioned it. He sniffed the air and said he smelled it, too. We wondered aloud to each other where it was coming from. I was he first to look down at our feet. Horrified, I nudged Rich to look down as well. Suddenly, we FINALLY realized exactly WHY yjay seat had been empty in a crowded car and why everyone had beeen staring at us like we were insane! There was puke all over the floor under the seat and our feet were planted right n it! We looked at each other with strained faces and got up, and not only rushed out of the seat, but also off the train as well - despite the fact that we were nowhere near our actual stop yet! Once off the train, we bagan wping the bottoms of our shoes all over the Belmont station foor - issuing ounds of disgust.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Again, Rich and I were on our way home from school on the train, and, of course, we were riding between the cars. We got to our stop, the Loyola station. In order to exit the train from between the cars, we had to step over the chains and jimp onto the station platform. But ONLY when it came to a complete stop. Despite MUCH experience, Rich decided to jump a bit prematurely, and I saw him land on the platform (NOT on his feet), and roll all the way to the other edge of the platform - almost rolling off the other side and onto the the tracks! Luckily, he stopped rolling JUST short of the drop! Neither one of us could keep from laughing!

HIGH SCHOOL:

Sophomore year in between some of our finals (as in final tests), two of my best friends - Rich and Jim - and I went to a nearby park along Lake Shore Drive. Rich was wearing a baggy, bright orange windbreaker jacket. We got on the swings and started a contest to see who could swing the highest fastest. When Rich got his swing high and swing back, somehow he accidentally let go and fell. But his orange windbreaker made it look like he was falling in slow motion and the wind  blew his sleeves - making it look like he had just jumped from a plane while skydiving! Jom noticed it, too, and thought the same thing, and we both started laughing at Rich! Even he laughed once he got up with a groaned, "Ow".

HIGH SCHOOL:

My friends and I always sat together at the same table in the cafeteria during lunch. One day, while we were into our lunches and shooting the breeze, a clown suddenly walked in, singing loudly to himself! Jim spit out his mouthful of milk, my food suddenly did not go down right, and I choked a bit. Rich asked aloud, "What the hell...?" Joe and theothers just gaped in shock, because it is not everyday that a clown trots into the school cafeteria! In fact, it had NEVER happend before! So you can imagine our surorise and confusion! The clown went up to one of our coaches and began to sing tto him about the fact that it was his birthday. Obviously, he was hired to do a singing telegram for Coach Frank's birthday, but just the sight of a clown suddenly coming in was quite a shock!

HIGH SCHOOL:

It was time for finals again and after our very last one, a group of my friends and I went to Navy Pier (which was NOT built upp at that time like it is now). We hung out on a bench area overlooking and extending out a bit over Lake Michigan. We went down under the platform, took our shoes off, and began wading where the water came in over the rocks. I stayed down there the longest. When I went to get my shoes, they were not there. I walked back up to the platform and asked my friends if they gad taken my shoes up with them. Rich held them up, and for some unknown reason, he dropped them over the railing with a wide grin on his face. I heard a splash. I could not BELIEVE he had just done that and for no reason! (Other than obviously being in the mood to be an ass). In a state of shock, I immediately grabbed HIS nearby duffle bag, and with a true pitching arm, I flung it from where I was out beyond the platform! There was a loud splash as Rich looked surprised that I had the nerve to get back at him. I ran down under the platform again, and found my shoes floating rightside up onto the rocks. They had not gotten wet, luckily. But Rich's duffle bag was far from the platorm. I went back up. Rich was raging while everyone else laughed. None of could figure out how to get his bag back. Of course, we weren't goung to swim all the way out there. Rich complainedthat his his school sweater was inthat bag and that it would shrink. A young couple in a sail boat drifted nearby. We jumped up and down and waved our arms to gettheir attention. At the top our lings, we shouted to them - asking them to rescue Ricj's bag for us. After a few minutes of them reaching over their boat, they picked up a megaphone and said to us that they got it and were going to sail past the platform and toss it back over to us. And they did just that. Though Rich was not happy, the rest of us found this very amusing!
