I have some very exciting news to share with you! On Friday, CSUN had their awards for films. Three awards are given out; Best Documentary, Best Drama/Comedy, and Best in Show. The Best In Show is the best film of the year, that out-scored both the films in Documentary and Drama/Comedy. The films were judged by a panel of 35 judges in the entertainment industry from VIPs, writers, editors, directors, producers, etc. To make a long story short, Living Dreams won Best In Show for the 2008/2009 year! After talking with many of the judges, we were highly complimented from a huge realm of entertainment industry people! I was told we won by a land slide on the point scale and everyone loved the film and loved you! Many of the judges came up to me and told me that they gave our piece 5 out of 5 points, which is a perfect score! Congratulations! It looks like it was a wonderful screening premiere for you! I actually was at the premiere of "Giant" at The ( Graumann's ) Chinese Theatre back in 1956. I was one of the many hundreds or thousands of spectators who stood outside and watched the incoming celebrities. I saw Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson.

It was not possible, though, to deny that James Dean was the number one celebrity of that moment, with the possible exception of Elvis. It was suggested by many that James Dean would get a posthumous Academy Award for "Giant". He was twice nominated posthumously for Oscars but he did not win. As for whether he should or should not win, my personal favorite actor of all time is James Dean. I am prejudiced and my opinion would only count for an opinion. But you do a fantastic job!

I do know the thrill of a movie premiere, and I have been in movies, and know how excited you must have been.

Thank you for asking about Earl. He fell down the basement steps

trying to work on the water pump. He was in the hospital for six

days. Earl suffered head trauma, (bleeding on the brain)/stroke. His

right side is weak. For someone his age, he is making a fast

recovery. To get around the house he uses a walker. He is taking

physical therapy. Hopefully, he will have his mobility back soon.

We have been blessed by so many people during this time. We are very

thankful to God for his comfort and healing touch.

Hope all is well with you, Gerard. I can't remember, did I tell you

that the mother of some of the children here the day you took time

with all the kids, said that you were a great sensation with them.

Hey!

The Trip to Fairmount was so amazing! But it was too fast. Phil gave me a quick tour of the farm but he had to go somewhere but he really liked me. He sent me to the Historical Museum and when I got there they gave me a bag and said Phil wanted you to have this.

It was the DVD to James Dean Born Cool. Phil was such a sweetheart. And they all new who you were and said very nice things about you. When I went to the historical museum I forgot the name of the older couple who where there but they where so amazing. He took me over to the guest book and showed me where you had once first signed in. Then they showed me your autographed picture on the wall there.

And he said how someone found you at Jimmy's grave dressed up and said ' I just picked up James Dean'.

I think I am going back in a couple of weeks. We didn't get to spend the night cause the high ways were all closed off so we had to stay the night some where else like an hour and half away. So I didn't really get to see much because we had to get back on the road. So next time Phil will give me the real tour so he said.

And I am so angry I didn't get to meet Marcus. He was out when I saw the farm. Phil said he would've loved meeting me. But he said next time maybe we will have dinner with them.

I just want to say thank you so much! This trip was amazing all because of you. So thank you! You are truly awesome!!!

Finally, I was thrilled to read that you connected with your biological mom and brothers. Don't give up the search for your biological dad. There are many avenues to do research (starting with Zaba.com) and you will hopefully have closure in this area.
